Getting ready for Disneyland Paris

In the past 6 months we have travel/visited 5 different European countries.  It is amazing to think of how much we have seen in such little time.  A lot of this has to do with the fact that Robin's brother came to visit for 6 weeks and his bug to travel infected us all.  Some has to do with all the built-up time-off Nato had.  We had many days that needed to be used or lost last fiscal year, and we barely used it all before gaining another 30 days that need to be used this year.  With the coming of our seventh child we plan on slowing down A LOT for a few months but we HAD to get a trip to Paris and Disneyland Paris in first and make it a complete 6 countries in 6 months.

A few days before our final excursion, Robin found Jane and Matthew apparently "practicing" for the trip using the doll stroller to get Matthew around the house.
We have never let any of the kids ride in the doll stroller before.  We think this might be why Jane is wearing a mask, to keep her identity safe.
You may be asking, "Why did Jane and Matthew get away with breaking this long standing, 6 year, rule?"  Either Robin is getting soft in her old age, or the kids are getting cuter about the way they break rules.

Candy Crafts

Our house has become crafting central.  I think it has something to do with the cold and dreary rain we have been having for about 4 weeks now.  Whatever the reason the kids seem to turn EVERYTHING into a craft.
Here they are turning all their Halloween candy into a buffet for a jungle of animals.
They made all kinds of dishes for them.
I think it kept them quiet for at least three hours. Then they played with the animals and enjoyed all their creations. Definitely enough entertainment for one whole rainy day!

Halloween 2012

This year we had Buzzy Lightyear at our house.
Of course he wore the hat and gloves for about 2 minutes, but he was still very much Buzz all day.
Jake, from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates" was here too.

They do not celebrate Halloween here.  So no "Trick or Treating," but we did not suffer.
We had our own party and parade.

Jacob dressed up as a mad scientist.
 Benjamin became "Captain America."

 Here is Jake.

Jane was Izzy.  Jake's friend in "Jake and the Neverland Pirates."
Emma came to the party as sleeping beauty.

First we had a parade so they could all show off their costumes.

Then we pulled out all the games.
 Bowling.

They "earned" candy by having turns at each game.
We also had a cake walk.
And pin the mouth on the jack-o-lantern.

But they liked the bowling the best.

 Even Matthew.

Well Matthew probably like the candy the best really.
 The loot!

Then we did a ghost bean bag toss.
It is amazing how a simple day of games can be so fun to a group of kids.
Especially when there are teeth involved.

We hope your Halloween was great.  Our was definitely memorable.  I am sure we will need to work hard to top it next year.  But I am game to give it a try.

A Happy Hello!

 On the table AGAIN!

Cheese!
On Philip's Bed.

 Benjamin on his own bed.
(Notice all the art work he has on his wall.  Yes, I am out of tape already)
 Jane building tents with Emma.
I promise Emma is somewhere in here, but she wouldn't let me get her pic today.
 Our littlest pianist.

I am not sure who Jane is trying to be.  Either Peter Pan or Flynn Rider.  Either way, Hello to all!
