October 2010

One of the best things about having a Daddy is snuggling with him. At one time or another all of our children have gone through this phase in life and it seems it is Jane's turn to be Daddy's little snuggle bunny!
Of course all of us are going through lots of phases. This is the "food all over my face is funny," phase.

"This is the laugh when everyone else laughs even though I am not sure why," phase.
AND here we have Benjamin going through the Birthday Phase! Okay this is not really a phase, but a true blue birthday! Benjamin turned four this month and since his actual birthday fell on a Sunday he got about a weekend of fun. We all went bowling on Saturday.
Philip insisted, of course, on carrying the ball to the ramp by himself. So, of course, he dropped it a couple of times stressing Nato out each time it was Philips turn.
But for the most part everyone is getting to be a lot better.
We don't get to bowl as much as we would like to, so it is fun to have a reason, any reason to go. We don't have perfect form. But we have a lot of fun!
Emma is even getting pretty good at throwing it herself.
On Sunday we had presents and cake after we got home from Church. Church took FOREVER in Benjamin's world, but we think the gifts were worth the wait.
This is his newest buddy Andrew, a.k.a. Darth Vadar. We went on Saturday to the mall after bowling and Benjamin picked him all out himself.
He requested a chocolate Toy Story cake. HUMMM! Robin had to do some real thinking on this and here is what she came up with! It was a real chocolate treat and a great day to turn 4!
Jane has now added this to her list of things to climb on. The little ROCKING chair. She is just getting so big and independent. We are happy to see her have enough hair to enter into the world of bows!!!!!!
Halloween was awesome! Again we were faced with a special day this month landing on Sunday and so we had to do some alterations, but it was still a blast! We just moved Halloween to Saturday completely! We carved pumpkins during the day. . .
and dressed up that night for the ward party!!!!!! Before the party we had a special treasure hunt at home filled with tons of candy!
Emma as Belle. Benjamin as Anakin Skywaker. Philip as Mickey Mouse. Jacob as Stanley Yelnats. Jane as Minnie Mouse.
We hope you all had a great Halloween!

LOVE those pumpkins! I'm glad to see all your fun photos. As I've been reading people's blogs about Halloween it's made me grateful for Utah all over again. Luckily everything was already moved to Saturday. I'm glad you're doing well. Jane is adorable and so is everyone else!

Oh, I love love love the new posts! I think we just love you guys! What great costumes this year! Stanley Yelnats is such a great costume idea...I love it! And I love seeing your Disney pictures. You can NEVER get enough Disney!!! I just picked up some friends of ours who flew down for the first time, and it made me miss all the rides and parks so much! We need to plan another trip one of these years!!! I'm glad to see you are all looking well! Oh, and we have another birthday package that needs to be sent (once I actually get something done on my to do list...the package is sitting on the dining room table, and eventually we'll need to use that room and I'll ship it.) We love and miss you guys!
